In Memory of the XI. 1936 Berlin Olympics

This is a commemorative album for the 1936 Olympic Summer Games in Berlin. Many commemorative albums were made after the games, e.g. the wellknown blue cigarette albums, but the best looking and for sure also luxury edition is this volume by Reichssportfuhrer H. von Tschammer und Osten.

A highlight to every Olympia Collection.

On the first two pages facsimile printed autographs of the gold medalists, including Jesse Owens, and throughout the album are typical photo’s of Berlin (Brandenburger Gate, Unter den Linden, Potsdam etc.), and some of the Olympic structures (Reichssportfeld, Olympic Village, Dietrich Eckart Theater etc.) and German landscapes. The often missing Hitler and Tschammer und Osten are still present, the album is complete.

All printed on heavy stock photo paper (Agfa Brovira).
