It's the first volume of this series and shows the 1939 campaign in the east (Poland).
When viewed the photos it gives a vivid 3-dimensional image of frontline action.
61 pages, german text, with 4 photos tipped-in on card pages,
3 maps / marching plans tipped-in as well.,
100 original Heinrich Hoffmann stereographs [5" x 2-2/7"],
complete with all stereo views and the stereoviewer.
Thick bevelled boards with five recesses to hold the metal viewer and photographs.
Approx/Measurements: 11-2/3" x 8-1/9" 2.75 lbs.
Overall condition of this stereoview book is very good.
The stereo pictures are in very good.
The stereoviewer is in very good condition.
Spine sunned, boards slightly rubbed, discoloration to margins to last few text pages from dampness,
occasionally mild foxing to text pages, discoloration stains to some stereo view cards (from the manufactoring process),
otherwise ok.
NOTE: The first volume is 10 times rarer than the second volume !!!
