Struggle in Snow and Ice
Here is a stunning book by Leni Riefenstahl, the world-famous German photographer and film maker
who filmed the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. Riefenstahl is one of the greatest film makers of all time.
Here she tells in her own words the story of her early career as a film star and film director.
Riefenstahl was a glamorous woman. In the 1920s she made films in which, as a sort of Wagnerian heroine,
she performs amazing feats of rock climbing, mountaineering and trekking across Greenland!
Many of these exploits are photographed in this book, which contains 155 images in gravure printing quality.
