Rare illustrated German photo book by famous photographer Paul Wolff about the beauty of the Elbe -  DRESDEN.
A German city which, prior to WWII, was called “the Florence of the Elbe” and was regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful cities for its architecture and museums.

It contains pictures, probably taken in the late 1920s, of the following buildings and places; Katholische Hofkirche (Cathedral of the Holy Trinity), Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), Steam Vessels on the Elbe near Hofkirche, Zwinger, Neues Rathaus (The New Town Hall), Stallhof (Stable Yard), Oper (Opera House), Denkmal August der Starke auf Neustadter Markt (Equestrian statue of August the Strong), Grosser Garten (Great Garden) with Sommerpalais, View of Dresden from the riverside of the Japanese Palais, Schloss Albrechtsberg (Albrechtsberg Palace), Schloß Pillnitz (Pillnitz Castle), Elbufer, Schloß Moritzburg (Moritzburg Castle)
