My Mountains - My Camera

Rare alpinism photo book by famous photographer Ernst Baumann, which say about his book:

"The book is about mountains and photographic apparatus. More precisely, it is a cross-section of 10 years (1920's and 1930's) of alpine photography."

Baumann found his camera, the Rolleiflex, through Luis Trenker. The Rolleiflex would be the best camera available for alpine photography. In the book there are pictures of Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden, the Alps, the Dolomites, Mount Blanc, summer and sun, snow and ice, glaciers, mountaineers, winter sports like ski and skiing, people in traditional costume, Schuhplattler and alpine dancing, processions and peasant work in the mountains ...

The pictures are fabulous, and the captions show technical details for each photo, like camera and film used, time, filter, exposure and exposure time.
