The Leicabook in Color
The Technique and Possibilities of Photography in Natural Colors

This is the worlds first published book containing Kodachrome color pictures!

All illustrations in color were transferred directly and without retouching from the original colored positive of 24x36 mm to the halftone plates of reproduction by the four-color printing process. Thus the colors of the original Leica slide have been faithfully retained. This books contains a wealth of motives of every kind from different countries, especially America, Germany, and the Scandinavian countries. The photographs are accompanied by thorough explanations by the author pertaining to the technique of color photography. Dr. H. Kluge has added a chapter on the scientific and technical fundamental principles of the Kodachrome color film and the printing process. Another chapter deals with the so called "Wash off Relief Process". Dr. Croy reports about the new Agfa Color Film. Special colored plates and diagrams supplement the text.
