Aral Gasoline Map 1936


Original two-sided Third Reich color map produced to give to Aral gasoline customers. It is the very informative B.V.-Aral Karte or map number 6 that covers the large area between Kassel, Hannover to Leipzig and Berlin.

Edition II/2 - with marked freeway stretches finished by 01-August-1936 and stretches of the Reichsautobahn still under construction. Covering Streets of area Hannover, Kassel, Gottingen, Hildesheim, Braunschweig, Eisenach, Halberstadt, Magdeburg, Halle, Brandenburg, Meissen etc.

Cities with Aral gas stations are marked with a special blue dot, and little orange flags mark Derop-Benzin-Pumpen or Derop gas stations. Derop is the abbreviation for Deutsche Vertriebsgesellschaft für Russische Ölprodukte, so even in the 1930s Russian energy products were available in Germany!

On verso close-up maps for the city centers of cities like Greater-Berlin, Leipzig, Halle, Magdeburg, Kassel, Eisenach, Braunschweig, Erfurt, Weimar and Potsdam as well as suggestions for scenic drives ranging from 125 to 440 kilometers.
