Rare german picture book of the early 1930's featuring drawings, paintings and photographs related to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832), which was a famous German writer and statesman.
He is considered the greatest German literary figure of the modern era.

Depicted are Goethe's family, Goethe's birthplace in Frankfurt (Großer Hirschgraben), his handwriting, drawings from and about Goethe, paintings, Weimar pictures, busts, his death mask, death chamber, coffin and royal crypt and more.
