The Aircraft

Very, very heavily illustrated aviation hardcover book written
by a team of pilots, engineers and officers.

This edition contains over 750 illustrations in 1000+ pages, plus 13 large, colorful, fold-outs.
The fold-outs contain things like a cutaway view of the Focke-Wulf Fw200 Condor
and a color diagram of the controls of the Heinkel He111 bomber.

Inside the rear cover, the insert is a large, single printed sheet measuring about 25 x 33 inches.
It is printed in black and blue ink and folds to about 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches.
On the printed side there are top, front and side profiles for over 35 different aircraft
from the Fieseler Fi156 Storch to the Luftwaffe Dornier Do26 See Adler to the Messerschmitt Me109,
plus a comprehensive list of specifications for 45 German aircraft from Arado to Siebel.

The 4-1/2 pound main book is divided into 15 chapters covering every aspect of Third Reich German aircraft
from instruments to brakes, and all illustrated with the most intricate, beautiful, highly detailed, meticulous,
German line drawings imaginable. Hundreds upon hundreds of them!

I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that this book is easily the very best German book
of that period on the technical aspects of aircraft.
