This picture book is a spectacular chronicle of the prewar German navy depicting every aspect of the sailors' daily life on every type of ship.

Included are flag-signal charts and naval ensigns plus a chart showing the national flags, etc. The smaller 2" x 2" pictures are in vibrant color depicting many maritime activities and exercises.

There is a full page showing ranks and specialties plus a page of patches showing again specialties and a diagram in the rear showing the plan of the line ship Bayern, its compartments bulkheads, guns, etc.
