German Telephone Book Berlin 1939

All 1,430 pages complete with german citizens during that time!!!

+ rare revision booklet during printing process, 31 pages
+ rare revision booklet as of 17-Aug. with 8 pages

Very awesome piece of history and a must have for the historian about Germany.

Overall in good - very good condition for a phone book.
Boards slightly soiled, rubbed and bumped. A few markings inside to some names.

Modest traces of use and age.

Worth mentioning is the large number of entries of jewish organisations,
which have shrunk very much in future versions of the book up until 1941.

Please note, that the 1939 edition is much rarer, than the 1940 and 1941 edition. Try to find one!!
Because it was not allowed to keep the 1939 edition, once the 1940 edition had been published.
You need to give the 1939 edition back to receive the 1940 edition and so on.

Thus you will see the already rare 1941 edition more often, than this 1939 edition.
Because you had never give the 1941 edition back in order to receive the new one,
since the Third Reich collapsed.
Approx/Measurements: 11-2/3" x 8 " and ~5.2 lb.

That's the first time I have a 1939 copy for sale, while I've already sold many 1941 and a few 1940 editions in the past 20 years.
